In today's Viral Video of the Day, a little boy had his mom struggling to contain her laughter after seriously misunderstanding what his dad meant when he announced an upcoming trip.

In the hilarious clip, mom Melissa secretly filmed from outside her sons' bedroom as their dad explained that he'd be leaving for a few days.

Apparently concerned about the sudden vacancy in the household, the youngest immediately asked, "Who will be with us? Like, who's gonna be our dad?" prompting his father to reassure him, "I'm still gonna be your dad."

Melissa admitted she'd hoped to capture an endearing moment between the boys and their dad before his trip, but the unexpected conversation turned out to be even better than she'd anticipated.

One amused TikTok viewer wrote, "He wants to know did you find somebody to cover your shift?"
