Viral Video of the Day for August 23, 2026: Butterfly release takes hilariously disastrous turn for two little girls

What was supposed to be an adorable sister moment turned into a comedy of errors in a matter of seconds in today's Viral Video of the Day.

In the clip, Kelsie Ort films her two young daughters, dressed in butterfly pajamas, as they attempt to release a butterfly – only for it to fly straight onto the younger girl's face and send her into tears.

The butterfly then falls to the ground amid the chaos, where the frightened little girl accidentally steps on it!

Kelsie joked that she "thought I was getting the cutest video of my girls releasing a butterfly," but things clearly didn't go quite as planned.

"this is a perfect representation of how kids ruin everything bruh," one viewer joked.
