Ruskin, Florida - Aaron Carter has broken up with his fiancé Melanie Martin just days after welcoming their baby boy together.

On Tuesday, the singer shocked fans when he announced that he and Melanie have decided to go their separate ways.

The former couple had been together for two years and only celebrated the birth of their son Prince last Tuesday.

Aaron took to Twitter to share the breakup news and claimed that Melanie had "betrayed and lied to" him.

"Due to personal [reason] Melanie Martin and I have decided to go our separate ways," the 33-year-old tweeted. "There has been a very big lie and my sister communicating w my ex fiancé ruined everything considering she knew what angel tried to do to me in court thanks angel you ruined my family. God bless."

The Fool's Gold artist has had a very tumultuous relationship with his siblings in the past, and has accused his sister Angel and his brother Nick of the Backstreet Boys of years-long mistreatment. In 2019, they both obtained restraining orders against Aaron.

In a barrage of candid follow-up tweets on Tuesday, the I Want Candy singer shared that he now considers himself a "single dad" and said he was in "utter shock" over the "horrible situation."

The artist further dished that Melanie told him that she's moving to Las Vegas, that he would never see his son again, and that he was sleeping in his car for the time being.

"Mel and I appreciate the support and concern we have been shown. We both will continue to make Prince our priority during this difficult time please be respectful while we transition and navigate this unfortunate situation. #HeartBroken," he added.

The exes' newborn son was born via an emergency C-section last week after Melanie was in labor for 13 hours.
