Backstreet Boys get revenge on fans by throwing their underwear into crowd

Berlin, Germany - The Backstreet Boys, everyone's favorite '90s boyband (sorry *NSYNC-ers), have returned the favor for the numerous bras they've gotten thrown at them onstage by hurling their own underwear back into the audience.

The Backstreet Boys are still giving their fans what they want, and are currently touring in Europe. On Friday, they will release a new Christmas album.

"When we were younger, they used to throw their underwear on stage," band member Kevin Richardson recently told the DPA of their diehard fans while on tour in Berlin.

"And so AJ and I did a little funny skit where we changed on stage in the little dressing room, and then we say, 'We'll return the favor. We'll throw you our underwear!'" the 51-year-old said.

The underwear was signed, and was actually never worn, Kevin assured – perhaps to fans' chagrin.

The stars are currently touring Europe on their DNA World Tour and still making fans' hearts beat faster with their still iconic hits, like Everybody (Backstreet's Back) and I Want It That Way.

The guys said they aren't annoyed by the constant requests for their old songs. They said they feel it's no different from how they feel about their own idols, like Prince and Madonna.

"When we see them in concert, we also want to hear the hits," said Kevin. "We understand that as fans of music and also of these songs, every time I hear them, they take me back to that time."

"That's something I talk about onstage at the very beginning of the show: 'Tonight our goal is to make you feel like you're 10, 12 or 14 years old again,'" added member Brian Littrell (47).

The Backstreet Boy will release their first Christmas album, A Very Backstreet Christmas, on Friday.
