On Saturday, Israel Adesanya faced off against Alex Pereira for UFC 281 at Madison Square Garden in the big apple.

According to TMZ, the Hotline Bling rapper put down a whopping $2 million on Adesanya to win, possibly influenced by the million he won after the fighter beat Jared Cannonier.

What Drake might have overlooked is that Pereira had beaten Adesanya twice in the past, and Saturday would not be third time lucky for the Nigerian-born fighter.

Adesanya appeared to be winning the match up until the fifth round, when Pereira unleashed a series of blows to the fighter's body that were so brutal, referees stepped in and called the fight.

Drake, who has a well known love for high stakes betting, was left with a pretty big hole burning in his pocket. The rapper has also bet big on other events in the past including the Super Bowl, the NFL Draft, and the Spanish Grand Prix.

Drake recently dropped a new collaborative – and controversial – album with 21 Savage, Her Loss, which is currently streaming everywhere.
