What better way to step into summer than with a poolside snap?

Elliot Page took to Instagram on Tuesday to show off his new body for the first time since having top surgery, something he called a "life-saving" experience on an episode of The Oprah Conversation.

Top surgery is a surgical procedure where the breast tissue is removed, allowing transgender men to feel like their most authentic selves.

You can feel the joy radiating from Page in the Instagram post as he stands with his feet in the pool, showing off his rock-hard abs with an infectious smile.

"Trans bb’s first swim trunks," he captioned the photo.

When it comes to his transition, the actor told Winfrey that he's found the most joy in the little things, like feeling good wearing a t-shirt, something he wasn't able to do before his surgery.

While holding back tears, Page told Winfrey, "It's being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body for probably the first time."

In December 2020, Page (34) came out as trans in a lengthy letter posted to his Instagram account. In it, he touched on how it felt to finally recognize, reveal, and live his truth.

"I can't begin to express how remarkable it feels to finally love who I am enough to pursue my authentic self."

Page continued, "I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream."

There's something to be said about the spark that ignites within you when you're becoming who you really are.
