London, UK - The rumor mill swiftly began churning after Harry Styles was spotted with a female friend, but his fans have helped put the romance rumors to rest.

The 28-year-old was photographed out grabbing coffee with Ellis Calcutt on Wednesday, leading to speculation that the newly-single Styles may have a new love in his life.

His fans, however, took to social media to remind the gossipers just who his companion is.

The As It Was singer's relationship with Calcutt actually goes back to their high school days.

When the pair were first photographed together back in 2012, Calcutt shot down rumors of a fling, affirming that they're just good friends and have been for a while.

"We're only good friends and have been since high school," Calcutt said at the time, per The Daily Mail. "I have a lovely boyfriend called Phil so you can stop spreading rumors about me and Harry dating each other because we absolutely are not!"

Though Styles seems to still be on the market after his split from Olivia Wilde in November, Calcutt appeared to confirm her engagement last year on social media.

The duo's lasting friendship has been praised by many fans, who expressed their joy at Styles being able to maintain an important connection from his pre-fame days – and shoot down chatter of anything more.
