How did T-Pain make a major mistake and ghost loads of stars on Instagram?

Internet - Imagine waking up one morning and realizing you had missed direct messages from Fergie, ESPN, or Nickelodeon. That was the embarrassing nightmare for rapper T-Pain when he realized he had missed hundreds of messages over the last two years from some very important people.

In the video, T-Pain shares his astonishment at learning there is a separate folder for message requests on Instagram, specifically for people who you're not already friends with.

Don't celebrities have agents to handle these things? In a recent TikTok video that will make you absolutely cringe, rapper T-Pain followed the trend of sharing something new he learned.

"I was today years old when I found out about the request folder on Instagram that's full of celebs trying to reach me," he said in the video.

It seems in the age of social media, influencers and stars don't feel the need to wait for messages sent between their agents, when they can just shoot off a direct message to other VIPs.

The video shows the Buy U A Drank singer scrolling through the hundreds of famous people, organizations, news stations, and influencers who have reached out to him – some more than two years ago.

"How do I super apologize? Press conference? Town hall meeting?" said the rapper.

T-Pain said he made the mistake by only scrolling through the ones he had already responded to – skipping over years worth of messages he had never seen.

"Yup....I'm stupid," he said. "I've been accidentally straight up ignoring all these people for like two years."

But when you're successful enough to lose $40 million and just keep going, you probably didn't realize what you were missing out on.
