The musician and Law and Order star, along with his business partner Charis Burrett, were reportedly given the green light from the city's Cannabis Control Board to open their new venture.

"I've dedicated my life and career to giving back and paving the way for minorities," the Newark-born rapper said in a statement released by the company. "As a New Jersey native, I'm excited for the opportunity legalization offers our community, and I look forward to ushering in a new era for Cannabis in the state."

Burrett, a former Playboy model, owns the California-based company, which will now have a new branch on Tonnelle Avenue in Jersey City, only a short trip from NYC.

"I've partnered with my friend of over 25 years, Charis B who is an authority in cannabis and founder of The Medicine Woman to ensure a premium experience for our customers and community," Ice-T added.

The plan is to also give back to local, non-profit organizations including the Last Prisoner Project, the Madeline Fiadini LoRe Foundation for Cancer Prevention, and the Jersey City Mural and Arts Program.

Ice-T and Charis B expect The Medicine Woman to have its grand opening later this fall.
