Kathy Griffin calls Elon Musk an "a**hole" and "douchebag" after dramatic Twitter ban

Los Angeles, California - Kathy Griffin found a loophole around her Twitter ban after getting her privileges revoked for impersonating the platform's new CEO Elon Musk, as the two traded blows in a drama-filled back-and-forth.

The gloves were off in this dramatic face off.

On Sunday, the 62-year-old comedian got kicked off the social media platform when she mockingly changed her account's name to "Elon Musk."

The move comes as Twitter is controversially changing its rules for verification, with users now being able to get a blue check by paying $8.

The new Twitter head honcho immediately condemned Griffin's pointed action by warning users not to follow suit.

"Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying 'parody' will be permanently suspended," Musk wrote.

"This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue. Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark."

Yet, Griffin took things a step further and defied Musk's ban by signing into her late mother Maggie Griffin's account.

Elon had some jokes of his own, responding to the drama by saying Griffin got kicked off the site for "impersonating a comedian."

"But if she really wants her account back, she can have it...for $8."

Griffin then stepped up to the plate: "I'm tweeting from my dead mother's account. She would not mind," she wrote.

Griffin then continued to drag the billionaire by responding to his shady comment.

"I mean…you stole that joke, you a**hole. People have been posting that joke for hours, you hack. Look, please do a better job running this company. It used to mean something," she clapped back at Musk.

The stand-up comedian didn't stop there. She then pretended to be her mother's vengeful spirit by calling the 51-year-old investor a "douchebag."

"Elon, this is Maggie contacting you from the spirit world tell u…you’re a douchebag. This is not parody. This is the actual ghost of Kathy Griffin’s boxed wine loving mother saying I’m gonna get tipsy & throw my bingo cards at you! NOT A PARODY. To the moon, a**hole. #FreeKathy," she tweeted.

One again, Kathy Griffin remains undefeated as the true queen of shade!
