New York, New York - Kenan Thompson's ex has a new beau, and it's someone the SNL star knows very well.

It turns out former castmate Chris Redd has been dating Thompson's estranged wife, Christina Evangeline, for some time.

Shortly after Redd announced that he was leaving the cast of Saturday Night Live, he and Evangeline were spotted together hanging out in NYC, sparking a slew of rumors.

Some fans speculated that there cheating may have been involved, or that Kenan had something to do with Redd's departure.

Fortunately, all the gossip turned out to be far from the truth.

A source told TMZ that the two became official sometime in the past year, and it in no way overlapped with Thompson and Evangeline's relationship

The couple filed for divorce in June, but they had intended to do so since 2019 due to the fact that they simply grew apart over the years. The divorce was done amicably, and they agreed to share custody of their two daughters.

Redd left SNL because he had a handful of upcoming projects in the works, including a new HBO stand-up comedy special.

Kenan is reportedly aware of the new relationship, and has no hard feelings, as he too has moved on.

Saturday Night Live returns for its 48th season on October 1, and while Chris Redd may be gone, Kenan Thompson is preparing for his 20th year with the show.
