Style icon and music artist Lil Nas X in early January made his children’s publishing debut with the alphabet picture book C Is for Country, illustrated by award-winning artist Theodore Taylor III.

And in the three weeks since the book has been available, it has already made the New York Times Bestseller list.

The 21-year-old recently made history, when his 2018 country-rap anthem Old Town Road officially reached 14-times Platinum status in the US.

Nas revealed he wanted to do something for his younger fanbase, who were a "big part" of the song's success.

"The opportunity to create a fun and educational book for them just made so much sense," he told Publishers Weekly. And apart from mastering the alphabet, his book is meant to encourage young readers to "do whatever they want to do and be whoever they want to be."

Random House Kids' official website says the children's novel, stars an animated Lil Nas X and Panini the pony "on a joyous journey through the alphabet from sunup to sundown."

"C Is for Country is a celebration of song and the power inside us all," the website reads.

While C Is for Country is geared towards children ages 3 to 7, the rapper's older fans might find interest in the book as well, since it reportedly features a lot of "hidden surprises."

In a tweet he shared last September, the Grammy-winner dubbed his work, "The best kid’s book of all time" – exactly the kind of confidence C for Country is aiming to pass on to kids.
