Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Things really couldn't be going better for Lindsay Lohan at the moment – not only is she finally back on screen, she's now also happily engaged to boyfriend Bader Shammas!

"My love. My life. My family. My future:" this is the emotional caption Lohan used in a Sunday Instagram post showcasing photos of her and Shammas beaming and clearly head over heels in love.

The highlight of each pic is of course the 35-year-old's new engagement ring, an eye-catching rock that sparkles almost as much as the love-struck star.

It was only earlier this year that Lohan's relationship was revealed by a source close to the Freaky Friday actor, who confirmed to the Sun that the two had actually been together "for about two years now."

The insider revealed some details about Shammas too: "He is a legitimate guy. He's not an actor, he's not in the entertainment industry, he manages funds for high net worth people at Credit Suisse."

Being from a different world than the crazy Hollywood bubble that Lohan escaped is probably a major plus for the former Disney idol and musician. Having gotten over her extremely public struggles with fame and fortune, Lohan has mostly stayed out of the limelight since moving to Dubai in 2017.

That may be about to change, though, as she heads back to the US to film a new Christmas movie for Netflix – her first serious acting gig since 2018.

"She is doing amazing and this return to acting is great for her. This will be a launching pad for her career," the Sun's source added.
