Los Angeles, California - Matthew Morrison was reportedly fired from So You Think You Can Dance after sending flirty messages to a contestant.

On Friday, news broke that Morrison was leaving the reality-competition series a week after its season 17 premiere.

However, per People, there's more to this story.

On Wednesday, the outlet shockingly revealed that the Glee alum was actually fired from SYTYCD.

An insider close to the Fox series spilled that the 43-year-old got the boot "after he had an inappropriate relationship with a female contestant."

"They didn't have sex, but he reached out to her through flirty direct messages on social media," the source said.

"She felt uncomfortable with his line of comments and went to producers, who then got Fox involved. He was fired after they did their own investigation."

The insider added that Morrison and the anonymous female competitor "never met up off-set" and it was "just messages" that "crossed the line."

Morrison, who was announced as a judge in April alongside JoJo Siwa and Stephen "tWitch" Boss, revealed his abrupt exit from SYTYCD in a statement.

"Having the opportunity to be a judge on So You Think You Can Dance was an incredible honor for me. Therefore, it is my deepest regret to inform you that I will be leaving the show," the Tony Award-winner said.
