Los Angeles, California - At 57, Nick Cage is about to be a dad again, but this time is a little different for him.

Cage and his wife, Riko Shibata, broke the good news in January, saying they were "elated" to be expecting a baby together.

Now, the famously over-the-top actor revealed more details about his upcoming bundle of joy: it's a girl!

As the proud father of two sons, Cage excitedly broke the news on The Kelly Clarkson Show, along with the name he and Shibata picked out for their daughter. And he did it in the most typically dramatic way imaginable.

Segueing from a conversation with Clarkson about his DJ brother playing The Beatles' Let It Be album, the star whipped the studio audience into a frenzy by saying: "I'm going to announce some big news for everybody. I'm gonna have a little girl!"

He followed up by tying everything together by dropping her planned name: Lennon Augie, a tribute to both John Lennon and Cage's father, August Coppola, brother to famous director Francis Ford Coppola.

Just over a year since they got married in Las Vegas, the Kick-Ass star and Shibata seem to be happier than ever, and it can't be long until their family gets its newest member.

Meanwhile, Nick Cage's latest movie has been raking in the rave reviews. The Unbearable Weight of Massive Comedy, an action-comedy in which he plays a fictionalized version of himself, opens in cinemas today.
