Salt Lake City, Utah - Rapper Post Malone announced Tuesday that he and his long-time girlfriend are expecting their first child!

According to TMZ, the 26-year-old musician held a private party over the weekend in Southern California to celebrate his new adventure into fatherhood.

"I'm excited for this next chapter in my life, I'm the happiest I've ever been, and for since I could remember I was sad," Malone said. "Time to take care of my body and my family and friends, and spread as much love as we can every day."

Post has been in a relationship with his current girlfriend and soon to be mother of his first child for some time. Her identity isn't known and sources say she isn't a public figure.

The White Iverson rapper moved to Salt Lake City from Los Angeles three years ago, and has been traveling back and forth between both cities while working on his highly anticipated upcoming album.

"The move to Utah has made things a lot better for my mental health. It’s been very, very good," Post said. "It’s something I had to do because LA was kicking my ass. So it is tough, but it is worth it."

Post Malone's new record Twelve Carat Toothache drops on June 3.
