The Law & Order alum had nothing but good things to say about his friend and costar.

On Monday, the Guardian published an interview with the SATC hunk where he weighed on SJP's feud with former cast mate Kim.

Kim, who portrayed Samantha Jones on SATC and its two movies, has publicly slammed her former costars – but Sarah has gotten the most flack from her.

When asked about the feud between the two ladies, Chris didn't hold back his feelings on the matter.

"I have to tell you, I have absolutely no idea what Cattrall's thinking is, or her emotions. I do know that I'm very close with SJ and Cattrall's descriptions of her don't even come close," he shared.

He further stated in regards to Kim, "I liked her, I thought she was marvelous in the show and some people move on for their own reasons. I don't know what hers were. I just wish that whole thing had never happened because it was sad and uncomfortable."

And just like that, Big and Carrie are back!

As for SJP, who played his love-interest Carrie Bradshaw for almost two decades, the actor shared more details about their friendship.

"I just don't like to see anyone talking down about SJ because she's a target and people can be nasty. I feel very protective of her and I was not happy about that. That's all I'll say about that," he added.

The 56-year-old is set to reprise his famous role as the complicated John James Preston a.k.a. Mr. Big in the SATC revival, And Just Like That.

However, a script leak in July hinted that Big and Carrie's iconic romance may be in trouble.

But, fans won't have to wait much longer to get carried away with the quintessential couple's turbulent romance.

And Just Like That will premiere on HBO Max December 9.
