Los Angeles, California - Knives Out star Toni Collette has addressed the state of her marriage after her husband was caught in a peculiar situation.

After her husband Dave Galafassi was photographed by The Daily Mail kissing another woman, Collette has announced that the spouses are divorcing.

The Hereditary star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a joint statement with the 44-year-old musician after previously taking a break from the app.

"After a substantial period of separation, it is with grace and gratitude that we announce we are divorcing," stated the caption of the post that featured a shot of a flowered sign reading "Peace & Love."

"We're united in our decision and part with continuing respect and care for each other. While Collette emphasized that the pair has been separated, the announcement comes just one day after the outlet published scathing pics of Galafassi smooching and holding hands with another woman in Sydney, Australia.

Could it be a coincidence? Some Twitter users certainly don't think so, and many have slammed the drummer for stepping out on Ms. Collette.

As one fan wrote, "Why would you break Toni Collette's heart?!"

Collette and Galafassi, who wed in a Buddhist ceremony in 2003, share two kids, Sage and Arlo.
