Los Angeles, California - Kanye "Ye" West and Julia Fox have ended their brief and albeit strange romance after a weekend in which he let loose on Instagram in the worst possible way.

On Monday, US Weekly reported that Ye and the Uncut Gems star have not-so-shockingly called it quits.

Fox's representative confirmed the news to the outlet and added that she and the rapper are still friends.

"Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators but they are no longer together," the model's rep shared with the news site.

Fox began her whirlwind romance with the 44-year-old after they connected on New Year's. Following their lavish first few dates, the two were seen flaunting their romance with matching outfits and excessive PDA.

Their most recent outing was at the model's intimate 32nd birthday bash at the start of the month, when Ye gifted her and her friends Hermés Birkin bags.

But despite Fox claiming that she had an organic connection with the rapper, news of the split isn't really that surprising. The model spent the past two months basking and defending in her no-labels, yet weird romance with the Ye. All the while, the DONDA rapper has been solely focused on getting back together with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian.

Making matters worse, on the same day the breakup was confirmed, Ye had shared a lengthy post where he claimed to have faith that Kimye will reunite.

He also spent the better part of his weekend attacking his ex's boyfriend, Pete Davidson.

All in all, everyone can probably agree that the Juliye era is not one that will live long in the memory.

No shade to anyone, but Fox could probably do better.

Still, annoncing a breakup on Valentine's Day has got to sting.
