Los Angeles, California - Get ready for some fun! Leslie Jones will be the host for the MTV Movie and TV Awards ceremony on May 16.

Jones shared the exciting news with her fans on Twitter. Though this will be her first time hosting the ceremony, she did headline the BET Awards in 2017.

Jones is also nominated for best comedic performance for Coming 2 America. The annual awards show will also have a new segment that airs the following night. tHE inaugural Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted, which is meant to "celebrate the jaw-dropping, no-rules, drama-filled moments from our favorite reality shows."

The Saturday Night Live alum is no stranger to bringing in the laughs and pushing boundaries through comedy. Jones became a breakout star after her performance in the remake Ghostbusters. Jones later starred in Sing, Masterminds, and hosted Supermarket Sweep.
