Governors Ball is back with a fresh lineup to kick off the summer
New York, New York – The lineup for the Governors Ball music festival has been announced, and it's packed with today's hottest artists, along with several up-and-comers.
After being postponed to the fall in 2021, Governors Ball is back to its usual summer dates for its 2022 festival, slated for June 10-12 at Citi Field in New York City.
On Tuesday, the festival dropped its official lineup, including headliners in Kid Cudi, Halsey, and J. Cole. Other acts include Flume, Jack Harlow, Playboi Carti, Kaytranada, Black Pumas, Becky G, Roddi Ricch, Louis The Child, Quinn XCII, Julia Wolf, Chelsea Cutler, and more.
While some were quick to share their discontent for the lineup on Twitter, others were thrilled with the artists slated to appear at the summer music festival.
Some even speculated that Kid Cudi's return to the festival scene might mean a tour was in the works. From the sound of the rapper's Twitter feed, it looks like they were right.
After the Governors Ball lineup was announced Tuesday, Cudi sent a tweet stating, "I'm takin' the madness all over the world this year to celebrate [Man on the Moon lll]. If [you've] never been to one of my tours before, u [sic] better not f*** around when these tickets are up for sale!"
Founder's Entertainment, the event's promoters, have also vowed to make a $25,000 donation to the New York City Mayor’s Fund for the victims of the tragic Bronx apartment building fire, according to Variety.
Three-day and single-day tickets to Governors Ball will be available for purchase on the festival’s website starting Thursday at 12 PM ET.
