South Korean outlet Dispatch recently broke the news that two of the world's most famous K-pop stars, Jennie Kim (25) and G-Dragon (32) have been secretly dating for a year.

Blackpink's and BIGBANG's management, YG Entertainment, was quick to respond, but their statement only helped to fuel the dating rumors.

"We can't confirm anything about our artists' private lives. We ask for your understanding," YG said per All K-Pop.

The two have known each other for over a decade, with Jennie even appearing in the music video for G-Dragon's single That XX in 2012 and featuring on his song Black the following year.

Their relationship has reportedly been facilitated by their years of working together under the same company.

Fans rally to support Jennie after relationship news

Following the report by Dispatch, both artists were trending on social media as fans flooded all platforms. Many were concerned about Jennie, as oublic relationships often attract hateful comments against female artists within the K-Pop industry.

"KINDLY GO TO JENNIE’S INSTAGRAM (@ jennierubyjane) AND LEAVE POSITIVE COMMENTS ON HER LATEST IG POST NOW!" a popular fan account tweeted.

Blackpink fans all over the world have since shown their love and support for Jenny, leaving a mind-boggling 640,000 comments under her latest Instagram post. In comparison, most of her other posts usually average around 40,000 comments.

"We love you, Jennie Kim," was the core message her fans and fellow celebrities flooded her social media accounts with.

Blackpink hit is first K-Pop song to achieve more than 1.5 billion views on YouTube

Jennie in 2016 made her debut with Blackpink, who have since gone through the roof as the most successful all-female K-Pop band ever.

The music video for their 2018 hit single Ddu-du Ddu-du recently became the first song by a K-pop group to achieve more than 1.5 billion views on YouTube.
