Lil Wayne hasn't released a new album since 2021's Fund Babies, which was a collaboration with Rich Tha Kid. In 2022, he worked with Machine Gun Kelly, featuring on the track ay!.

In August, the How to Love musician teased an upcoming Tha Carter VI album during a live performance at a Young Money reunion show, but the project's release date has yet to be confirmed. The last Tha Carter album, V, dropped back in 2018.

Given the name of the newly announced tour, fans can hopefully expect an update on the sixth installment sometime soon.

Tickets for the Welcome to tha Carter Tour will go on sale Friday February 3 at 10 AM EST.
