Maxo Kream and Tyler, The Creator flex it out in new Big Persona music video

Houston, Texas - Flaunting chains, shining fronts, and sending donuts in a big-rimmed Rolls-Royce SUV, Houston native Maxo Kream and Tyler, The Creator swagger through their new music video for Big Persona.

Big Persona is a preview for rapper Maxo Kream's album Weight of the World, scheduled for an October release. The new song also features bars and the production work from Tyler, The Creator.

Maxo Kream's last album was a detailed and heavy autobiography with an emphasis on being honest and authentic. He hasn't changed that focus, so the upcoming record will likely be another gritty and honest take.

In Big Persona, Maxo and Tyler have a lot to say about bling, status, and lifestyle. The two trade verses on the success both have, with an emphasis on what their lifestyle is now.

Producer and rapper Tyler, The Creator cooked the track to pair the bragging with a boasting beat. The track warms up with a big band horn intro, and those horns return through the chorus, turning the track into a victory anthem for making it in the rap industry.

Its two stars embody rap music and the highest highs of rap status symbols.

One lyric from Maxo Kream makes the entire song a flex.

He calls out other rappers for "All that flexin', cappin', that's below my tax bracket." But the "flexin'" he calls them out for is exactly what he and Tyler, The Creator walk and talk, just supersized: "Big money, big cars, big jewels."

Sections of the video give a nod to rap videos' past with old-school time-stamp filters. This grainier video-editing style usually goes with a track that tries to look as real or spontaneous as possible.

That style is a perfect contrast to the shot from a drone flying over a muscle-car crushing donuts in a parking lot.

The music video also features a newer flavor – the baby belly of Maxo Kream's significant other, which is some way to break the news!
