Grammy-nominated music artist Skylar Grey just dropped the music video for her latest single Vampire At The Swimming Pool, and it's a grunge-tastic masterpiece.

Releasing your first album in six years likely comes with a side of anxiety. But releasing your first album in just over half a decade as an independent artist is no easy feat. However, it is a commendable one.

That's what Skylar Grey did with her third studio album that dropped in April. Now, the multi-faceted artist is giving fans with an interest in honest music and compelling cinematography something else to obsess over with the music video for her song, Vampire At The Swimming Pool.

The vid itself is directed by Jay Weneta, and features Grey playing the role of an empress, clad in a black lace catsuit and cape, leading an army of clones in an apocalyptic world similar to that of the film Dune.

Speaking of the track and its newly released visual element in a press release, Grey said, "This video is the first look at the new me. A reinvention. My album was very sad, which reflected my life at the time I made it. But I am no longer sad. Having made it through the darkness I feel more powerful than ever. Maybe even a tinge vengeful. Anti-hero-esque. Power is born from pain."

The 36-year-old musician recently revealed that she had to sell her music catalog, which includes award-winning songs like Eminem's Love The Way You Lie and Diddy's Coming Home, and Glorious by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, to fund her divorce from her ex-husband Todd Mandel.

But now that her divorce is settled and she has complete control over her musical future and sound, the sky's the limit for Skylar Grey.
