The queens make each other over on the freakiest Friday of RuPaul's Drag Race

Los Angeles, California - After the queens snatched each other's crowns with their celebrity impersonations, Friday's makeover challenge on RuPaul's Drag Race was all about bringing out their own personality – while putting another queen front and center.

Plenty of contestants have struggled with this (fan's favorite) challenge, and it turned out to be just as much of a drag for this year's queens.

For the challenge, each queen usually gets assigned a stranger to make into their doppelgänger. But due to coronavirus restrictions, this year is all about painting their style on a fellow competitor.

To get right down to it, Utica and Symone clearly ate the challenge up.

Utica owned Symone's fierce lewk and strutted down the runway the most confident we've ever seen her. Utica's outfit for Symone was tougher to sell, to say the least. The brown sheets and the weird headdress made a miserable match, but the odd outfit choice somehow played in her favor, as she managed to perfectly embody the artsy and over-the-top, sometimes weird vibes that Utica brings with her everywhere she sashays.

Gottmik and Kandy Muse followed suit with a performance that turned heads on and off-screen. Given that the two are already inseparable in and outside the werkroom, it didn't come as much of a surprise though.

Kandy Muse truly caught the essence of her friend's playful yet elegant spirit, tiptoeing down the runway in a beautiful ballerina dress. Gottmik on the other hand left her comfort zone and nailed the main character-attitude that Kandy Muse brings to the show. Fans have been torn over the performance, as they either hated or loved the duo.

But whatever your personal opinion on Kandy, aka the drama queen, you've got to admit that her no-filter persona makes this year's show all the more entertaining.

Denali and Olivia Lux took bottom placement with a poor performance

Rosé and Tina Burner left less of an impression. Rosé was a mess as Tina Burner's make-up didn't blend in with her defined jawline and cheekbones.

But Denali and Olivia Lux fell the hardest. It was the second time in a row that Olivia's performance dwindled, and the first time that Denali truly disappointed.

The two were unsurprisingly up for a fierce lip-sync battle to Shackles (Praise You) and nobody was ready to give up their spot just yet. Denali certainly cursed Olivia's outfit on her, however, as she struggled to move in the heavy gown. While she gave her best, Olivia took the win, and Denali was left with no choice but to sashay away.

Full disclosure: Denali deserved a safe after she served the audience and jury with mind-blowing lewks and top performances every week. Olivia's crown on the other hand had been crumbling for a second consecutive week.

But fans shouldn't despair just yet, as there's always a chance she might return for an All Stars season.
