What might be a dream for others was a neverending nightmare for Kelly Lavery, as her boyfriend Ian just wouldn't stop going down on one knee in front of her and asking her to marry him repeatedly.

During a trip to Disney World in Orlando, the man took the opportunity to make sensational proposals to his beloved in public. Each cringe-worthy moment made her turn and run.

In the video on Kelly's TikTok channel, you can see her turning away in embarrassment, dragging Ian back up to his feet in annoyance, or trying to find a way to run before bystanders noticed his antics. But why the repeated attempts at romance?

The explanation is as simple as it is funny: the two were actually already engaged by that point, but knowing his fiancé hated being the center of attention, Ian just wanted to take the perfect opportunity at the most magical – and public – place on earth to prank the love of his life. Her sister filmed all of his proposals and especially Kelly's hilarious reactions.

The video got 4.3 million views and 969,000 likes on TikTok in just one day.

Husband showers his wife with embarrassing performances

"My husband made me fake wedding proposals all over Disney World because he knows I hate that kind of thing," Kelly explained in her TikTok clip.

Things got particularly awkward for Kelly in the middle of a very crowded line for a rollercoaster, when she realized she was trapped and couldn't escape the impending question.

Of course, Ian lowered himself to one knee and loudly proclaimed, "I've been waiting my whole life for this moment..."

In a different scene, the couple are sitting in a restaurant, the perfect opportunity for Ian to take it to the next level. Rising from his seat dramatically, he clinked his glass with a spoon to draw even more attention to his overtures.

"Because we were already engaged, he knew he'd get away with it," Kelly explained in the caption, and the two have since married. They plan to visit Disney World again in June.

"Wish me luck," the worried wife wrote.
