Snoop Dogg lights up the internet with Twitter takeover poll

San Francisco, California - If Elon Musk decides to drop Twitter like it's hot, Snoop Dogg is ready to step in – and users seem to be all for it, judging by the voting on a poll set up by the rapper!

Snoop couldn't miss the chance to poke fun at Musk after the SpaceX and Tesla boss saw his latest attempt to rule by Twitter poll backfire spectacularly.

The billionaire had tweeted on Sunday night, "Should I step down as head of Twitter? I will abide by the results of this poll," along with the options Yes or No.

Of the more than 17.5 million people who voted, 57.5% were in favor of Musk stepping down – which would allow Snoop Dogg an opportunity to swoop in!

"Should I run Twitter?" Snoop Dogg asked his followers early on Monday.

Within 10 hours of writing the tweet, the star had already drawn in more than 1.7 million votes and an overwhelming "Yes" result of 81%.

Musk has not yet commented on whether he will definitively step down as head of Twitter. There are 10 hours left on Snoop Dogg's poll, as the future of the site's senior management remains unclear.

What is clear, though, is that a platform run by the Doggfather would be significantly more chill.
