Sex always proved painful, not just for her, but for her husband as well. And it did seem that she had her period a lot more frequently than is normal.

However, it wasn't until she was 25 that Brittany Jacobs found out why she was having so many issues.

In a TikTok clip, the now 26-year-old explains, "I always thought I wasn't very sensitive to pain, but my periods were so bad they made me cry." She bled so much that even tampons couldn't hold it in, she says.

When she became pregnant, she also only carried her baby "on one side." It was when her son was born that her nurse was finally able to shed some light on the situation with a shocking diagnosis.

"I was in labor and the nurse looked down and said, 'Oh honey, you have two vaginas, two uteruses, and two wombs'." Somehow, no other medical professional had ever noticed until then!

With this crazy story, Brittany Jacobs attracted a lot of attention on TikTok, and her video now has 2.7 million views and more than 554,000 likes.

Woman with two vaginas still gave birth to healthy children

In a series of other videos, the Brittany also talks a little more about her unpleasant experiences, such as her husband's reaction: when she shared her diagnosis with him on Skype, he confirmed that sex with her had "always been very painful".

It's no wonder, since "uterus didelphys" means that due to the duplication of her reproductive organs, her vagina would be split in two. Though incredibly rare, it does mean there is less space for intercourse and could mean sex could prove quite painful for both parties. Such a uterine malformation can also lead to increased risk in pregnancies.

Brittany also had some complications during birth, but in the end everything went smoothly. In the meantime she has even given birth to a second baby boy.
