Taking to Instagram in celebration of her 30th birthday, Keke Palmer has revealed a selection of scantily clad shots, two of which display a previously unknown butt tattoo for all to see.

Keke Palmer has released four new pics on her Instagram channel, each of which show her greased up and wearing a black swimsuit.

Displayed just beneath her right cheek is a tattoo as yet unseen by her adoring fans.

Printed in black ink is the date January 21, 1994, her "partner in crime" Darius Jackson's birthday.

The images have been liked more than 1.5 million times, sparking speculation around what the tattoo could mean.

"Being grateful is the key, so showing gratitude is always the move," Palmer captioned the post.

"I blessed and grateful to see another year... Here's to finding more balance in self-expression from personal and professional life."

Back in July, Darius threw shade at Palmer, who is also the mother of his son Leo, for wearing clothing that had (at least according to him) shown off too much of her butt at an Usher concert.

In the since-deleted tweets, he wrote, "We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn't want the wife and mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others."

The jab triggered a brutal response from Keke, who took to Instagram to say, "I wish I had taken more pictures, but we were running late!"

He was publically roasted by her fans over the incident, and she soon appeared in Usher's latest music video in another move seemingly escalating the drama.

The extraordinary exchange back in July has led to a lot of speculation over how Keke and Darius' relationship is going.

Despite the couple having announced nothing publically, Jackson removed all mentions of Palmer from his Instagram mere days after the incident.

While many believed them to have split, a recent Instagram live saw Palmer refer to Jackson as her "partner in crime," implying the couple are still together.

It's unknown whether the duo are still an item, but it seems from Keke Palmer's birthday post that she certainly isn't backing down from her choice to wear revealing clothes in public.

"I'm bringing in '30' by being me and being better," Keke wrote. "To all fellow Virgos, keep being bold, gentle, and true."
