Kodak Black is sporting a "Shining" new tattoo in a very strange place

Miami, Florida – Four months after being released from federal prison, Kodak Black has gotten "red rum" tattooed on his eyelids – but fans think it's too much, too soon.

There's nothing like celebrating your release from prison by getting questionable tattoos, and that's exactly what Kodak Black did over the weekend.

Like most people with new ink, Kodak Black, whose legal name is Bill Kapri, showed off his latest addition to his expansive collection of tattoos.

But he got the tat in a very strange place: his eyelids.

The rapper had the words "red rum", which is backwards for "murder", tatted in red ink across both eyelids by the prestigious tattoo artist Ace No Buggy. The artist posted a now-deleted video of Kodak's freshest ink.

The phrase became popular from Stephen King's movie, The Shining, and it's clear that Kodak is either a fan of the film, or perhaps just the phrase itself.

This was the second tattoo he's gotten since his release from prison in January, following a pardon from former president Donald Trump.

Shortly after his release, Hip Hop DX reported the 23-year-old got his lawyer's name tattooed on the side of his hand to show his appreciation for the work he put in to clear his name.

In November 2019, Kodak was sentenced to four years in federal prison for lying on a background check for two firearms, which were later found at a crime scene with his fingerprints on them.

In January 2021, he was pardoned by Donald Trump, and freed from serving the remainder of his 46-month sentence.

The music artist's new project, Haitian Boy Kodak, will go head-to-head with J. Cole's upcoming album The Off-Season – with both set to be released on May 14.

One can hope Kodak's latest ink doesn't inspire him to do anything that could cause him more legal woes in the future.
