Greg Casar is on a roll!

Just last Wednesday, he received the endorsement of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren in the race to represent Texas' 35th congressional district.

On Monday, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez became the next big-name politician to join his list of official supporters.

"Texas working families deserve a progressive Democrat like Greg who will show up and fight for them," AOC said.

"Because of his roots as a labor organizer, I know Greg and I will work together to organize year-round and deliver on Medicare for All, good jobs, and climate justice," she continued. "I’m proud to support his campaign and will be doing everything I can to help him win this primary on March 1."

Casar shares many policy priorities with AOC and other members of the Squad, including expanding access to healthcare, affordable housing, childcare, and more, as he told TAG24 in an exclusive interview.

"Texas working families need a representative who will show up and fight for them – someone who will work to pass Medicare for All, stand up to corporate special interests, protect reproductive rights, and fix our grid," the Texas progressive said following the announcement.

"I’m honored to have earned the endorsement of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, who boldly fights for working families every single day. I look forward to working with her to deliver for TX-35 residents."

Casar's fate will be decided in the Texas primaries on March 1. The voter registration deadline to participate was January 31.
