The 24-year-old has been making astonishing improvements in the past few days after suffering a cardiac arrest on the field during Monday's game.

Physicians at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center removed his breathing tube on Thursday night.

The Bills posted the update via social media, also sharing that Hamlin briefly joined the team's meeting today via Facetime.

"Love you boys," he told his teammates.

Coach Sean McDermott, quarterback Josh Allen, and other Bills team members spoke about Hamlin at an emotional press conference yesterday.

"The scene just plays over and over in your head," Allen said, per The New York Times. "It's hard to actually describe how I felt, how my teammates felt at the moment."

The Bills resumed practice on Thursday ahead of their matchup against the New England Patriots on Sunday. "We want to go out there and play for 3," Allen said. "It'll be a huge driving force."

The team will wear patches featuring the number 3 on their jerseys to honor Hamlin during Sunday's game.

The NFL has confirmed that Monday's game between the Bengals and the Bills will not be rescheduled.
