Jimmy Butler burns PJ Tucker with hilarious farewell message

Miami, Florida - PJ Tucker's exit from the Miami Heat might have rubbed Jimmy Butler the wrong way, as the six time NBA All-Star had some choice words for his former teammate.

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler is no stranger to controversy.

His intensity and trash talking is what makes him the high-level competitor fans adore.

Butler's latest barb was aimed squarely at his ex-teammate P.J. Tucker, who recently opted out of his $7.4 million player option with the Miami Heat, instead signing a new three-year, $33 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.

On Wednesday, Tucker thanked Miami and their fans for the season in an Instagram post, where Butler commented his raw feelings that left fans in total shock.

"What a year," Tucker said in the post. "True underdogs that really got it out the mud and went against all odds. Miami you will forever be my home and Heat Nation, I can’t thank you guys enough for the love you’ve shown all year. Though our journey together has come to an end, the love will forever remain the same."

While Heat players and fans bid their well wishes to Tucker, Butler had a very different farewell message.

Sift through the comments under Tucker's post and you'll find one that isn't like the others.

"F*** you and Joel Embiid," he replied. "Yeah I brought him into this."

The 32-year-old has been vocal against the 76ers ever since they traded him to the Heat following the 2018-19 season, it's unlikely Tucker's decision genuinely struck some nerve with Butler. After all, he's always had a close relationship with both his former teammate and Joel Embiid.

Butler had high praises for the Sixers after the Heat eliminated them in the East semifinals this season, and he's even posted pictures with Embiid on social media.
