State College, Pennsylvania- From the college football postseason to the offseason, the Nittany Lions just keeps winning, this time snapping up four-star linebacker Kaveion Keys!

Keys, one of the best recruits in the country, committed to Penn State on Friday after decommitting from North Carolina earlier this week.

"It was just different, and it felt special to me in my heart," Keys told reporters. "I wanna do something that was gonna better my future and my career, and I feel like that's the place for me to be and that's the place I feel most comfortable at."

The Richmond native is the third recruit to commit to the Nittany Lions 2023 class this week and he will be key for a strong Penn State defense.

A top 15 nationally ranked linebacker and the fifth-best recruit out of Virginia, Keys an explosive linebacker that can play in space and excels at rushing off the edge.

With experience in both offense (wide receiver) and defense, he is projected to be a versatile defensive player who can play on the outside on the edge or stop a run game from the inside.

Keys becomes the just third linebacker and 22nd commit of the Nittany Lions 2023 recruiting class.

Following his announcement, Penn State jumps to the No. 12 spot nationally, and trails only Ohio State in the Big Ten conference 2023 recruiting rankings.
