NBA announces record-smashing All-NBA teams

Dallas, Texas - The 2021-2022 All NBA Team has just been announced, and it's the youngest team in over 50 years!

The NBA announced it's All-NBA teams prior to Game 4 of the Western Conference finals on Tuesday. And for the first time since 1955, all First Team recipients are aged 27 or younger.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Dončić, Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić, Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum have all been awarded to the 2021-22 Kia All-NBA First Team.

Antetokounmpo was the only First Team recipient to receive a perfect vote to nab a team spot, earning the highest maximum point-value, 500 points. This marks his fourth consecutive selection to the First Team and sixth All-NBA Team honor overall.

This is the third All-NBA First Team selection for both Dončić and this season's MVP Jokić, who each earned 476 points.

For Booker, who earned 460 points, and Tatum, who earned 390 points, it is their first time being selected to the All-NBA First Team.

All-NBA Second and Third Team recipients

The honors didn't stop there. Players who earned a spot on the Kia All-NBA Second and Third Teams are as follows:

Second Team Recipients:

  • Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors
  • DeMar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls
  • Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets
  • Joel Embiid, Philadelphia 76ers
  • Ja Morant, Memphis Grizzlies

Third Team Recipients

  • LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers
  • Chris Paul, Phoenix Suns
  • Pascal Siakam, Toronto Raptors
  • Karl-Anthony Towns, Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Trae Young, Atlanta Hawks

Each All-NBA First Team recipient will each receive a signature Victor Soloman crystal basketball in celebration of the honor.
