The post-holiday celebration marched on for Irish Nation, as Notre Dame football continued to strike hot with its top talent on the recruiting trail.

This time they add 2023 cornerback Christian Gray out of Missouri with a firework of a commitment on Monday, the Fourth of July.

Gray is going to bring a prototypical frame to the cornerback position. His incredible arm length of 75.25 inches makes him an ideal athlete for the job.

The 6-foot cornerback also has fluid footwork, with the ability to flip his hips and run with just about any competitor on the field. His excellent instincts allow him to break on the ball very quickly.

But for Gray, the Fighting Irish will teach him more than just moves on the field.

"The coaching staff is great, the environment was great, and it shows me what I can be besides a football player too," Gray said about his reason for choosing the Irish. "[Coach Freeman] will help me become a better version of myself, a better person."

Gray is ranked as the No. 14 overall cornerback recruit in the nation and has become Notre Dame's sixth top-100 prospect. The group is quickly becoming the greatest recruiting class in Notre Dame program history.

Notre Dame football continues to flaunt its top recruiting class, as the Fighting Irish currently sits No. 1 in the team recruiting rankings for the 2023 cycle.
