Hurley, one of the top passers of the 2025 class, announced his commitment to the LSU Tigers on Friday over offers from other powerhouse programs Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, and Texas A&M.

In his announcement, the 6-foot quarterback out of Florida also reclassified to the 2024 class, which now will put him on the college field a year ahead of schedule.

"To coach Brian Kelly and the staff at LSU, I want to say, thank you, for the opportunity to graduate a champion and bring a national championship to Baton Rouge," Hurley said in a statement posted to his Twitter.

As a five-star athlete currently ranked the third-best quarterback in the nation, Hurley's standout success on the field includes two state championship titles and receiving the Class 2A Player of the Year honor in 2021.

As a freshman last season, the gifted thrower went 144 of 257 passing (56%) for 2,146 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

Hurley will join an elite class of quarterbacks at LSU, with Walker Howard already on the roster and four-star quarterback Rickie Collins – who committed to the Tigers' 2023 class.

Hurley has become the Tigers' second consecutive commit this week, after the school also landed four-star recruit DJ Chester on Thursday for its 2023 class.
