MLB: Dodgers only need one run to get the job done agianst the Mariners

Oakland, California - The Dodgers got back to their winning ways by allowing just one hit in Tuesday's game against the Mariners.

The Dodgers got a win back from the Mariners after losing a close in the previous game between these two teams. They only one run to defeat the Mariners 1-0.

Pitcher Julio Urias (24) was in command on the mound and had a career outing, striking out a personal all-time high 11 through seven innings pitched. Urias also remained undefeated in getting his third win of the season.

Seattle's Marco Gonzales tried his best to stay neck-and-neck with Urias and also pitched seven innings, but he ended up allowing LA's only two hits and the fatal run in the third inning.

A.J. Pollock reached second base on a double and was driven home by a single hit by Corey Seager in the third.

For Seattle, Mitch Haniger hit a single, Mariners' only in the game.

On Thursday, the Dodgers are back at home to play against the Padres, while the Mariners head out to the east coast to face the Red Sox.

José Abreu hit two homers to help the White Sox get over the Indians 8-5. The Yankees end their five-game losing streak by getting the much-needed 3-1 win over the Braves.

The Orioles beat the Marlins in Miami by a score of 7-5, while the Nationals just got by the Cardinals 3-2 thanks to an eighth-inning bases-loaded walk. Veteran All-Star Buster Posey hit two home runs in the Giants 10-7 win over the Phillies.

The Red Sox got a big 3-run homer to help them get past the Blue Jays 4-2. And the Cubs narrowly defeated the Mets 3-1.

The A's got their ninth, and then their tenth straight win in a doubleheader against the Twins on Tuesday, shutting out Minnesota 7-0 in the first game and 1-0 in the second game.

In Kansas City, the Royals lost big to the Rays 14-7. The Rockies beat the Astros 6-2, and the Angels also won their game against the Rangers 6-2. On the west coast, the Padres lost their second-straight game to the Brewers by getting shutout 6-0.

The Diamondbacks and Reds were suspended in the eighth inning, with Arizona leading Cincinnati 5-4 before rain and snow hit the field.

The Pirates game against the Tigers in Detroit got postponed and will be made up on Wednesday.
