Savannah, Georgia - Get ready to see the Savannah Bananas in a light you've never seen them in before on ESPN's forthcoming series Bananaland.

The highly anticipated ESPN+ documentary-style series finally has a premiere date!

The forthcoming series on all things Banana Ball will debut on August 19 exclusively on ESPN+, according to the team's IG.

When TAG24 last spoke with Savannah Bananas pitcher Kyle Luigs and team president Jared Orton, not much was publicly known about the series other than the fact it'll give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the magic being made on and off the field in Savannah, Georgia.

Though the team already gives fans a closer look at how they're revolutionizing what baseball can be through their Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube pages, Bananaland will reportedly serve up six 30-minute episodes giving viewers the inside scoop on Banana Ball, the team, and more.

Luigs told TAG24 back in June that the show will include "everything under the moon, from how we work in the front office leading up to the tour, to game footage from us playing on the tour, to us traveling from city to city on the tour, to everything you can imagine."

"We're super excited about that," Luigs said.

The show was filmed last spring as the team played their own version of baseball, dubbed Banana Ball, in Savannah and while on tour in six other Southeastern cities to sold-out crowds – a common setting for the Savannah Bananas.

Check out the first episode of Bananaland when it premieres on ESPN+ on August 19.
