UFC: Fight Night doesn't disappoint as Vettori takes down Holland and Allen prevails over Yusuff

Las Vegas, Nevada - UFC middleweight contender Marvin Vettori made great use of the takedown method in his match, while Allen defended and struck hard to get his own victory in a battle of upcoming prospects on Saturday.

Marvin Vettori (27) took control of his main event match against fellow middleweight Kevin Holland (28), with a UFC middleweight record of 11 total takedowns, securing the unanimous decision.

With this win, Vettori improves to 17-4-1 and can keep his name in the discussion for a possible title fight against Israel Adesanya, the last fighter to beat Vettori, back in 2018.

Vettori took full advantage of his opponent's lack of takedown defense, keeping Holland's back on the floor throughout the fight. He piled on the assault with punch after punch, keeping himself practically attached to Holland, who seemed to have no chance of keeping up after the first round.
