Everyone knows the great feeling of satisfaction that comes with scoring an awesome parking spot – and the rapidly encroaching sense of anxiety about losing that space when you leave.

According to CBS Chicago, local tour guide and historian Adam Selzer came up with a unique way to save his spot – using his pants!

The West Ridge resident simply placed his frosty articles of clothing outside where his car would normally be parked. But how did he get the pants to stand up on their own?

According to Selzer's Twitter post, the recipe for stiff pants is easy! All you have to do is soak the pants and put them outside in the frigid temperatures. After around 20 minutes, you can mold the pants into your shape of choice. Another 20 minutes in the cold leaves the pants frozen in place.

Now, nobody can park in Selzer's spot – not if his pants have anything to say about it!

Selzer said he was expanding his frozen wardrobe to include t-shirts as well. He told CBS his fashion experiments are intended to keep things interesting amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
