New York, New York - Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson turned heads on Tuesday at the premiere of their new psychological thriller Verity, bringing plenty of dark glamour to the red carpet.

At AMC Lincoln Square, Hathaway showcased her growing baby bump in an elegant black sequin dress, per the Daily Mail.

The 43‑year‑old, who is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, wore her long brown hair in a half‑up ponytail and paired the look with silver earrings.

Back in August, there was some wild speculation that Anne's bump might be fake, but with her latest red carpet outing, the award-winning actor has again put the chatter to rest.

Her co-star, Dakota Johnson, also turned heads. The 36‑year‑old appeared in a white, fringe‑trimmed bra top with a matching skirt. Red lipstick, a diamond necklace, and silver earrings added extra flair to the ensemble.

Josh Hartnett, who portrays Verity's husband Jeremy Crawford, joined the ladies in a gray suit and was also accompanied by his wife, Tamsin Egerton.

The movie is based on the eponymous bestseller by author Colleen Hoover. Hathaway plays the successful writer Verity Crawford, who becomes incapacitated after a mysterious accident.

Her husband Jeremy then hires the struggling author Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson) to continue Verity's unfinished series as a ghostwriter.

While working at the couple's estate, Lowen discovers an incomplete manuscript that reveals disturbing secrets about Verity's past. Soon the question arises whether the events described are pure fiction or a warning.

Verity hits theaters worldwide on Friday, October 2.
