Cardi B defends KATSEYE after critics rip new single Hootie Frutti: "ya'll hating"
New York, New York - Not about the drama! Cardi B showed some major love to KATSEYE after fans ripped their latest single, Hootie Frutti.
The Up hitmaker hopped on Instagram Live to record herself enjoying a late meal with her kids Kulture and Wave, while jamming to the global girl group's track.
In between bites, Cardi tells viewers, "Y'all hating on the song. But me, Kulture, and Amor - referring to Kulture's cousin – love this song."
The Grammy winner – who just released her newest song, AH HA – added, "And Blossom love it."
Cardi's stamp of approval comes after KATSEYE dropped their new EP, WILD, and the accompanying music video for Hottie Frutti, which pulled some inspo from the Britney Spears hit I'm a Slave 4 U.
Though the song may have gotten a mixed response, it's clear Cardi is loving it!.
And the Hello rapper isn't just joining the KATSEYE bandwagon, as she's been a longtime fan of the girl group, which was formed in 2024.
Cardi even shared a video of her family watching the Hottie Frutti music video on TV, and she was seen dancing to the song. Will the New York rapper team up with KATSEYE in the near future?
