Musk seemingly admits to slashing Ukraine's Starlink speeds after first blaming Trump admin.

Austin, Texas - In a recent social media post, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk appeared to admit he was behind throttling his companies Starlink service being used in Ukraine.

On Saturday, the billionaire shared a lengthy post on his X platform, in which he said the service was slowed down after Ukraine "violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people."

Earlier this month, Ukrainian forces were sent into panic mode after discovering Starshield – a military version of Starlink that helps intercept Russian attack drones – was experiencing connectivity problems.

Initially, Musk pointed his finger at President Donald Trump, arguing that use of the service was "decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS."

But last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that Musk ordered the slowdown, which sparked calls from Democrats for an investigation.

In his post on Saturday, Musk maintained that Starshield "is controlled by the US government," and argued his company has "done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR."

Despite his company's help, Musk has recently joined President Trump in insulting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and calling for him to step down from office.

Musk further argued in his post that if Starlink were to be shut down completely, "the Ukrainian front line would collapse," and bizarrely added, "This is NOT a threat" but a "statement of fact."
