Hayden Panetteire's boyfriend yells about her death while being taken away in cuffs by police
Greenville, South Carolina – The late Hayden Panettiere's on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson was spotted outside of a Greenville, South Carolina bar in cuffs following an altercation.
Brian Hickerson and his brother Zach Hickerson were handcuffed and pulled out of a bar after a night of drinking on Saturday ended in an altercation, as reported by TMZ.
Greenville police were responding to the report of an "assault."
Witnesses told the news portal that the altercation began after Brian argued with someone at the bar and picked up a bar stool and threw it. There's also a video of the purported altercation circulating online.
Before the incident, the brothers had been drinking at the back of the bar for hours.
Panettiere's boyfriend Brian was later released; officers detained his brother Zach for disorderly conduct.
Police reported that Zach was "highly intoxicated" when they arrived and that he began yelling profanities, which led to his arrest, per TMZ.
As Brian was being pulled out, he was reportedly heard yelling about the local authorities: "GPD leaked it when my girlfriend died!"
Brian's shouting was in clear reference to Hayden Panettiere's shocking death.
According to reports, both Brian and Zach Hickerson were home when Hayden's body was found on August 16 in an apartment in Greenville where she and Brian lived.
The cause of death and the circumstances surrounding Hayden's death are still unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
