Hayden Panettiere's mom and ex excluded from memorial in honor of late star
Malibu, California - Late star, Hayden Panettiere, will be celebrated at a memorial this weekend, but her mom, Lesley Vogel, and ex-boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, have been banned from attending.
TMZ confirmed that the Heroes actor will be honored at a celebration of life, one month after her tragic death at 36.
The ceremony will take place in Malibu on Saturday at a church, with a source sharing that the location was chosen because of Hayden's love for the ocean and whales.
Around 150 of the Scream alum's family members - including her father Skip, friends, and costars, are expected to attend, with the insider adding that her mom and ex were not invited.
Vogel, who was estranged from her daughter for years, received intense backlash over her remarks on Hayden's death, though she has insisted that she wants the Nashville star to be remembered for her "talent."
Hickerson and his brother Zach were both present on the night that Hayden died from an apparent overdose and attempted to resuscitate her.
Hayden, who shared an 11-year-old daughter with Wladimir Klitschko, had an on-and-off again, dysfunctional relationship with Hickerson, yet the pair secretly reunited prior to her death.
