New York, New York - Taylor Swift has enlisted actors Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson to star in the music video for her upcoming single, Patient Zero, and its first preview has fans in a frenzy!

CBS Mornings debuted a short teaser for the new video on Thursday, revealing Colin and Dakota's involvement and what appears to be instrumentals from the track.

The clip repeatedly shows Taylor and Dakota paralleling one another, and at one point, the two are seen standing in front of a tombstone that appears to read in part, "Daughter Gone Too Soon 1986-2022."

So far, Swifties online are speculating that Taylor is "patient zero" – the first victim or scorned partner of Colin's character. Now, Dakota has been caught in his trap, with the 36-year-old pop star looming like a ghost.

Fans have also seemingly decoded some sneaky Easter eggs hinting at the video's cast from Taylor's surprise Law & Order skit at the Emmy Awards earlier this month.

In the skit, the Grammy winner delivers a series of cryptic clues: "Saccharide. Aries. From the vineyard. North or south."

"Saccharide," a chemical term for sugar, appears to be a nod to Colin, who currently stars in the Apple TV drama Sugar. "North or south," meanwhile, seemingly refers to Dakota and the two states that feature the name.

While the song Patient Zero will drop alongside The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore on Friday, Swifties will have to wait until Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards to catch the video's world premiere.

The Encore will feature three other new songs – Cleveland!, Pink Clouding, and Babylon – but it seems Patient Zero will be the only one getting the video treatment.
