For the 44-year-old, visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital in London was a special occasion. As the Mirror reports, the Princess of Wales returned to a place that holds special personal significance for her because of her own medical history.

This time, the focus of her visit was the services offered to cancer patients. Kate wanted to learn how the donations raised through her National Three Peaks Challenge are being used.

A precise figure has not yet been released. The money goes toward the holistic care of people being treated for cancer at the Royal Marsden.
