Plymouth, Massachusetts - Lindsay Clancy's defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, has slammed the news media over its coverage of his client's murder trial as the jury deliberates for a third day.

On Monday, Reddington returned to Plymouth Superior Court as verdict watch continued in a case that has drawn national attention.

Per WCVB-TV Boston, the lawyer called out the "horrific" coverage of the case over the weekend, telling reporters outside the court, "You're all journalists, reporters, news media, and this weekend has been horrific with the coverage."

Reddington didn't hesitate to name two of the reporters he was most frustrated with: Fox News host Sean Hannity and legal commentator Nancy Grace.

He accused Grace of "misrepresenting" the facts of the case, saying, "I challenge Nancy Grace to show us where Lindsay Clancy ever said, ever Googled 'How to kill' – words that came out of her mouth and these things hurt people."

Clancy is currently on trial for the murders of her three children in January 2023. She has admitted to the killings, but her defense team argues that she is not criminally responsible for the crimes due to extreme postpartum psychosis.

Jurors began deliberating on Thursday and were sent home for the weekend, with the process resuming on Monday.

Legal analysts had not predicted a swift decision, as the case is more complicated than whether Clancy committed the crime and instead focuses on her mental state at the time.
